LONG before Pop Idol and X Factor, there was karaoke.
If you wanted to bless the masses with your vocal skills, this craze from Japan was the way to do it.
The sing-a-long entertainment became especially popular in pubs and bars, with regulars belting out the classics.
And as these photos from the Leader archives show, everyone loved a bit of karaoke.
Pictured stepping up to the mic in August 1990, were patrons of the Custom House pub, in Connah’s Quay.
Are you in our gallery of crooners? Or maybe you were a big karaoke fan, if so, what was your song?
