The 46-year-old admitted three counts of attempted sexual communication with a child - which took place earlier this year in Wrexham.
Judge Nicola Saffman adjourned the sentencing to Monday, November 7 in order for a pre-sentence report to be completed on the defendant.
He was warned that given his admissions, he is now subject to notification requirements under sexual offences legislation.
