A WREXHAM pub is to host a Christmas light switch on in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.
The King’s Mills pub on Kingsmills Road will hold its switch-on on Friday, November 25, featuring an array of Christmas entertainment, stalls, and activities with mayor, Cllr Brian Cameron given the honour of illuminating the pub.
All money raised from the event will go towards Nightingale House Hospice which requires over £4 million a year to operate.
The King’s Mills Pub is under new management - under the stewardship of Benjamin Adams for the last five months - and the switch-on is a great opportunity for the local pub to engage with the community.
Benjamin’s sister, Danielle Satterthwaite who works at the King’s Mills said: “Since we’ve been here, we have been working with Nightingale Hospice, so we’re wanting to make the Christmas lights switch on a charity event.
“We’ve got various Christmas craft stalls coming as well, we’ve got a Santa coming so we will turn (the pub) into a bit of a Santa’s grotto for the kids.
“The stalls are from 4pm and the light switch on will be at 7pm.”
There will also be a performance from the choir of Gwenfro Primary School singing Christmas carols.
The event is free to attend but donations will be welcomed for NIghtingale House Hospice.
