A LARGE scale emergency service response descended on Ruabon after reports a child had fallen down an embankment.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) and the Welsh Ambulance Services Trust were among the agencies to respond to the incident, which happened in Penycae Road on Monday evening.
NEWSAR confirmed 16 team members were sent to the site - known locally as Rocky Woods - with two Landrovers.

A spokesman confirmed: "Our second call on Monday was to assist with the evacuation of a casualty from a wooded area near Ruabon, Wrexham.
"Team members assisted with moving the patient to the waiting Air Ambulance, as well as providing lighting.
"This was a major muti-agency response involving the Air Ambulance, Welsh Ambulance, North Wales Fire and Rescue and North Wales Police.
"We've used an awful lot of fuel in the last month. Please consider donating to keep us on the road and out on the hills."
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service stated one crew attended the scene to assist shortly after 7pm after "a casualty had fallen down an embankment."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (October 3) shortly before 5pm to reports of an incident near Gardden Wood, Wrexham.
"We sent one emergency ambulance and a duty operations manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.
"One person was taken by air to Alderhey Hospital for further treatment.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We received a call from the Welsh Ambulance Service shortly before 5pm yesterday (Monday, October 3rd) following reports a child had fallen down an embankment near Gardden Woods, Ruabon, Wrexham.
“Officers were in attendance to assist with the incident, along with colleagues from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR), Welsh Ambulance Services and the Wales Air Ambulance.
“A child was taken to Alder Hey Hospital.”
