A BOOKSHOP at the heart of a Flintshire community, has announced events that include bestselling authors and a TV personality.
The Berwyn Bookshop, based at Caffi Isa, in Mynydd Isa have revealed details of three events before the end of the year.
On Sunday, October 23, writer and lawyer Kate Morgan will be visiting North Wales, for an exclusive Q&A session and book signing, following the success of her debut title, Murder: The Biography.
The book is described as ‘totally gripping and brilliantly told’ and as ‘a gruesome and utterly captivating portrait of the legal history of murder'.
Taking place in the Caffi Isa building, the Kate Morgan event is on theme with Caffi Isa’s very own Murder Mystery taking place that same weekend.
The Berwyn Bookshop director, Emma Littler, said: "Kate’s book is truly excellent. Whilst it is non-fiction, the stories told possess the ingredients you would find in crime fiction novels, so with that in mind, hearing her talk with such a wealth of knowledge and authenticity, should make for a brilliant experience for a wide range of people."
On Sunday, October 30, BBC and S4C’s Alex Humphreys is featured in a special book launch for her new release, Playing with Reality: Gaming in a Pandemic.

Presenter Alex, who grew up in Flintshire, is also a keen gamer, delves into the science behind gaming in her book, as she explores its boom in popularity over the course of the covid-19 pandemic.
Finishing off the itinerary, hugely popular romance author Cressida McLaughlin is making her way from the other side of the UK on Sunday, November 20, for a Festive Afternoon Tea and Q&A session.
Her visit to The Berwyn Bookshop coincides with the release of the aptly named The Cornish Cream Tea Bookshop.
Emma added: "We are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome such fantastic authors to our community.
"It wouldn’t be possible without the writers and their publishers, of course, but we have tried to organise a variety of dates, to appeal to all. By supporting these events, it will enable us to continue encouraging authors to visit Flintshire, as we head into 2023."
