As events return to Wrexham's William Aston Hall, the venue is looking for new faces to join its passionate and hard-working team.

Earlier this year Theatr Clwyd took over the running of William Aston Hall in a an exciting partnership with Glyndŵr University to safeguard the future of the venue. Since then, shows have started to return, with full and varied autumn season ahead.

William Aston Hall is now hosting a recruitment day on Thursday, October 13 to fill vacant roles. The open day will give people the chance to talk to existing team members about the roles, as well as have the opportunity to interview for them.

Current roles on offer include:

• Venue assistants, providing excellent customer experience across bars, merchandise and ticket sales.

• Venue supervisors, ensuring a consistently safe, efficient, and high standard of service for audiences and visitors.

• Venue technicians to support the stage and technical aspects of all visiting productions, including lighting and sound, to the highest possible standards.

Football fans will not want to miss Wal Goch Festival (Nov 11-13). This weekend will host more than 30 film screenings, including world premieres, spread across venues in the city centre and at the festival's hub, Glyndŵr University.

There will also be panel discussions, games, gigs, comedy and podcasts, plus special guests from the world of football, film and TV, with many more events to be announced. Weekend and day tickets are available along with discounts for families and under 12s.

Sinfonia Cymru will be joined by French 'trumpet sensation' Lucienne Ranaudin Vary in a concert on November 20. Lucienne, 22, leads Sinfonia Cymru with a vivacious programme encompassing both classical and jazz inspired music, from Hummel's Trumpet Concerto to Weill's Je ne t'aime pas. Performing popular pieces by Milhaud and Ravel, prepare to be transported to the bustling streets of France.

Jason Byrne will visit the venue on November 26 with his show Unblocked. Jason Byrne has not only had his heart unblocked and been given a new lease of life, but his whole career has been unblocked too! The constipation of covid has been cleared, live entertainment has been colonically irrigated and readied up for us all.

Wrexham Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra in Residence at Glyndŵr University and William Aston Hall, open their 53rd Season with an afternoon of music celebrating some of the best music and themes from radio, TV and film in Broadcast Classics (Nov 27). Bedwyn Lloyd Phillips conducts as they perform music from The Archers, Thunderbirds, Bridge Over The River Kwai, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Out Of Africa, ET, Star Wars, Star Trek and much more!

Join them later in the year for a festive treat. Join Mark Lansom and Wrexham Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Christmas music and carols featuring a musical depiction of Raymond Brigg's wonderful story The Snowman (Dec 11) music by Howard Blake.

Wales' original Bingo brand, Bingo Lingo (Dec 2), is coming to William Aston Hall and they're bringing the festivities with them. You can expect stage battles, ridiculous rounds and weird and wonderful prizes. The Christmas tour sells out every year, so get your groups and tickets sorted early. This event is for 18+.

Theatretrain's Christmas Showcase will take place on December 10. Pupils from Wrexham, Mold and Chester will come together for a celebration of musical theatre with a Christmas twist.

The Delta Academy of Dance & Performing Arts presents their rendition of the well-known classic, Beauty and The Beast (Dec 16-18). The Delta team and pupils are delighted to be back in the spotlight and invite you to enjoy this perfect family Christmas show.

Rounding off the season is Bye Bye Baby (Dec 22) a jaw-dropping tribute to the musical phenomenon Jersey Boys and the timeless, iconic music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.
