ERDDIG'S annual apple fesitval event returns this weekend.
The Apple Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday (October 1 and 2) between 10am and 5pm at the National Trust owned property at Erddig, where over 200 different type of apples are harvested in the orchards.
Now in its 32nd year, the Apple Festival is a fantastic family day out with lots to offer.
Whether you prefer toffee apples, apple pies, apple sauce or just a plain old unadulterated apple, the apple harvest month will offer something for everyone.
Vsitors can enjoy an autumn feast for the senses. Browse the centrepiece and showstopper of the celebration, the apple display, which showcases all varieties of apples harvested from Erddig’s orchards.
Beyond the apples, there are cider press demonstrations, live cookery demonstrations, an apple trail, a tour of the orchard, storytelling, live music and poetry. Plus there are tours of the 17th century hall and estate.
The event is free to attend, but admission charges to visit Erddig Hall apply.
