CHIRK Castle will be closed throughout Friday (September 30) after the Met Office forecast high winds that are set to batter the region later today.
In a Tweet, the National Trust property said: "We're sorry to say Chirk Castle and the estate will be closed today, Friday 30 September.
"Due to the large number of veteran trees on the estate there is a risk to visitor and staff safety on site in this afternoon's high winds.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The post said the site would reopen as soon as possible.
Although no weather warnings are in place in the region, the Met Office is forecasting strong winds this afternoon with gusts of 41mph and 42mph predicted to hit around lunchtime and into the early afternoon.
Meanwehile, a yellow weather warning for wind is in place across parts of Scotland.
It comes as the Atlantic jet stream is being strengthened by the warm tropical air pushed northwards by Hurricane Ian and is driving an area of low pressure across the UK.
