Wrexham Police dealt with over 56 incidents on Tuesday, including safety concerns and criminal damage. 

Inspector Luke Hughes has issued his latest update, detailing what officers were tasked with on Tuesday (September 27). 

He said: "56 Incidents reported, again, a mixture of concerns for safety, missing person, welfare, social and health incidents. Oh and we managed to find some time to deal with crime too."

Tuesday's incidents included: 

8.44am – Theft – a male enters a large retailer and is suspected to have taken £200 worth of clothing. 

8.57am – St John Court – vehicle found with a damaged windscreen.

Inspector Hughes added: "Appears the damage was deliberate and no attempt to steal from the vehicle. Second incident near this location in a few weeks, officers tasked with increased viability overnight. Any information would be appreciated, and extra vigilance required."

2.35pm – Officers respond to a pendant alarm, possible fall at an elderly females address – establish that the dog bit the alarm – all in order.

3.29pm – Criminal damage to a window in Tan Y Dre - possible school pupils walking past.

Inspector Hughes said: "If your children walk this route home from school, please ensure they don’t get themselves involved in something.

"Don’t be guilty through association."

6.20pm – Report of a small vehicle driving like 'a fool' in Pont Wen, no details obtained, but caller states it only just missed her and her daughter.

6.39pm – Concern for a missing 14-year-old male – located safe and well.

6.58pm – Callers advising they have had two automated scam phone calls. Insepctor Hughes added: "I have certainly noticed a number of messages trying to convince me that I’m due a discount on my heating bill, that I’ve been in contact with someone with Covid, that my bank has noticed suspicious activity etc.

"NEVER follow links from spam messages. No good will come of it. Most of these bulk messages come from out of the UK and as soon as you interact with the message, they will realise you have a live number, and it will increase tenfold."

8pm – Large gathering of youths, some on motorbikes on the playing fields adjacent to Cefn Road. Officers attend and the group disperse.

10pm – Concerns for elderly resident - no contact from visitor to address and they are unable to gain entry. Officers arrive and locate occupant safe and well.
