LET'S face it, we've all danced the nights away in our local nightclubs down the years haven't we?

And some of those nights will no doubt have been some of the best of our lives (especially those ones we end up being able to remember the next day!).

From sticky floors and cheesy music to laughing and boogying with friends and loved ones, you really do get the best (and worst) of both worlds in nightclubs.

Last week, we asked Leader readers 'What was the first nightclub you ever went to in Wrexham?'

As always, this brought up some interesting answers.

Here are some of the best of those answers we received on our Facebook post.

Dawn Louise Lennon said: "Peppers used to be a fabulous nightclub had some very good nights in there and met quite a few famous artists too."

Liz Stringer added: "Peppers and the Ferryman. Even landed a job in the Ferryman before moving over to the Cotton Club. The best days ever."

Chelsea Davies told us: "Chicago rock. Amazing in there it was."

James Lloyd said: "Colosseum. It was amazing when it was the first one you went to."

Julie Mackreth wrote: "Peppers. Some of the best years spent in Peppers. Met lifetime friends. Loved Mrs Mac on the door and the lovely Ted."

Rachel Marie said: "Peppers sticky white and black tiled floor!"

Emma Evans had an interesting tale to tell. She wrote: "Went to Bentley’s opening night on a blind date in 1986. Married in 1989 and still going very strong!!" - before tagging husband Andrew in the comment.

Nick Owens jokingly (we hope anyway!) said: "Chequers, still here stuck to the floor."

Ewart Howkins added: "I worked the door on Coliseum and Peppers for years. Saw some questionable creatures in my time."

Ann Simmonds said: "Peppers and Scott’s good old days."
