• Ysgol Rhiwabon, Wrexham
In collaboration with the students Skill Challenge qualification, Year 10, students helped to raise £1,600 for Hope House Children's Hospices by designing and creating products to sell during the Christmas Fair and other events over the past year.
A cheque was presented to Catrin Dowdeswell, from Hope House, at the school, who also sent her thanks to all the students involved in raising such a large amount for the charity.
Mrs Helen Sava, assistant headteacher said: "This was a tremendous achievement by the students to raise such a significant amount of money for Hope House. As a school we are very proud of their work for charity."
• Ysgol Mynydd Isa
Year 1 and 2 pupils at the Flintshire primary school enjoyed a surprise visit from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters from Mold Fire Station arrived at Ysgol Mynydd Isa to inspire pupils with their new topic, Burning Bright.
Pupils were amazed to see all the equipment that the fire engine carries and the amount of water it holds too.
Some pupils were lucky enough to hold some of the equipment, try on the firefighter's coat and helmet, and even sit inside the fire engine.
Year 1 and 2 Leader Dawn Nevitt added: "All the children got to see the lights and hear the very loud siren. Thank you to Mold Fire Station for inspiring our pupils."
