A WREXHAM coffee and craft beer shop has received an outpouring of support after informing the public it is to run as normal on Bank Holiday Monday.
Bank Street Social made the announcement via its Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for Bank Street Social said: "We understand this won't please everyone but after long and careful discussions with many of you, we have decided that we will be opening Monday, September 19 normal hours.
"Whilst un-disputed it will be a sad and historic day for the country, the truth is we are amid an energy crisis and closing for the day whilst so many have asked for us to open is simply impossible as a business to ignore.

"On a personal level we'd like to highlight, we have customers for whom without their morning coffee and chat with us, they simply wouldn't have anyone to talk to all day.
"We feel our way of honouring the long-dedicated service of our late Monarch is to do what we feel she would do and serve others to the best of her abilities."
The post received more than 380 'like' and 'love' responses from Facebook users, and numerous comments praising the business for its decision.
Many agreed a place for people to go and talk is important, with one saying such a place can offer something akin to "therapy."
The business was also praised for the thoughtful way in which it informed the community about its plans.
