The Sunday Times has released its official Good University Guide for 2023 which shows Glyndwr University ranked eighth in Wales.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023 provides students and their parents with an invaluable first reference point on the path to finding a university place.
It contains full profiles of all universities. The academic league table is made up of eight indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, and degree completion rates.
Cardiff University was named by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023 as the Welsh University of the Year and sits 25th place nationally.
Aberystwyth University, which ranked second in the Welsh rankings, has continued to flourish against key performance measures in the National Student Survey.
Wrexham Glyndwr University is at the bottom of the table in terms of rank in Wales, but came second in the 2022 National student survey Student satisfaction, and the National student survey Teaching excellence.
Professor Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor of Wrexham Glyndwr University, said that the university was delighted to be ranked second in Wales for Overall Student Satisfaction and Teaching Satisfaction in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.
She added: “Once again, Wrexham Glyndwr University has maintained its excellent reputation for overall student satisfaction and teaching satisfaction, recognised also in the Complete University Guide 2023 where we are first in England and Wales for Student Satisfaction.
“The university prides itself on being an inclusive and welcoming environment for students. It is therefore wonderful to see that our students are so pleased with their learning environment.
