MOLD Town Council have expressed their condolences following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II whilst announcing details about the book of condolences which will be made available to the community.

Mayor of Mold, Cllr Haydn Jones paid tribute to the late Monarch who passed away peacefully at Balmoral last Thursday at the age of 96.

Cllr Jones said: “Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the Royal Family and the Royal Household at this very sad time, as we as a nation all mourn together in the passing of the longest serving Monarch in our history.

“As the Civic Head of Mold Town Council, on behalf of the residents of the town I would add our community’s sincerest wishes and express our sorrow at this difficult time.

“Her Majesty will be remembered for many things as well as longevity, especially so as a well-loved, honourable and respected family member who served a Nation and Commonwealth with great pride and fairness.”

Mold Town Council has organised a book of condolence for The Queen for members of the community who wish to pay their respects. The book will be available at the following venues on the dates and times below:

Those wishing to pay floral tributes to mark the passing of the Queen are encouraged to leave flowers on the grass verge/flower bed outside the front wall of St Mary’s Church on the High Street without cellophane.
