YELLOW and Blue community hub in Wrexham has created a GoFundme page to ask for donations to help them throughout the winter months.

Yellow and Blue is a non-profit organisation in Wrexham city centre which serves as a welcoming and inclusive environment, offering support to the people of Wrexham through offering a café service, community projects, support sessions, and much more.

Being non-profit, the hub relies heavily on donations and any money made through their café.

As winter approaches, Yellow and Blue is seeking help to ensure that they can continue to offer support for the community through their various initiatives this winter for a third year running such as:

  • 50 tonnes of food saved from food waste to families in need
  • Operation Christmas – presents to those in need in the community, children, homeless, isolated and elderly.
  • Our food pantry - food for those in need.
  • Pay it forward meals
  • Overheads and electric
  • Rent and support provisions

Yellow and Blue’s latest efforts to assist people included offering free kid’s lunches to families throughout the summer holidays, and more recently holding a recycled uniform scheme.

This scheme was aimed at helping families with the cost of uniform prices amid the ongoing cost of living crisis, which prompted hub co-ordinator, Ruth Marshall to say: “At Yellow and Blue, we don’t judge anyone. We know the struggles and as a community we all support one another. “
