Flowers are being left by the flagpoles in Queen’s Square in Wrexham in tribute to the late monarch.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had died on Thursday, September 8 and the country is now in mourning. Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 19.
Wrexham residents have paid tribute by leaving flowers on a bench in between the flagpoles in the city centre along with written messages and even Welsh flags.

Wrexham Council have lowered the flags to half-mast as a mark of respect and a book of Condolence was opened at the Guildhall from 10am Monday, September 12.

After the news of the Queen’s death was announced, Mayor of Wrexham Cllr Brian Cameron said: "It is with great sadness that the council received this news and it sends its deepest sympathies and those of the people of Wrexham to the Royal Family.”
