BIRTHDAY presents were amongst items taken after cars were broken into in Wrexham city centre.
Police said the two incidents occurred on Waterworld car park and Lidl car park between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday (September 11).
They involved the windows of cars, which had paid permits to park there overnight, smashed to gain entry.
Taken from the car on Waterworld car park were birthday presents which the victims say weren't on view, as well as other items.
From the car on Lidl car park, a bag was reportedly stolen.
Inspector Luke Hughes, of the Wrexham City policing team, said: "It’s quite an old school offence and rare at present.
"Can I ask that the public help us and help themselves by please not leaving valuables on display.
"As for a suspect, it has to be an opportunist walking past - CCTV will be reviewed."
