A POPULAR fireworks display is set to return to Deeside later this year - for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic struck.
In years gone by the event, organised by Deeside Round Table (DRT), proved hugely pouplar among local residents.
DRT has now confirmed that, on Saturday, November 5, the fireworks will return following a three-year absence due to the pandemic.

It will once again take place at the Deeside Leisure Centre site in Queensferry from 6pm.
A statement from DRT read: "ITS BACK….. Our first Bonfire and fireworks display since covid, makes its long awaited return this November.
"We can’t wait to put on another great event for you all and what a cracker we have lined up.
"To ensure everything runs smoothly, the epic fireworks display will be carried out by Bright Sparks Fireworks. We can’t wait to see you all there."
Tickets for the event can be purchased via this link. Numbers are limited so grab them quickly.
The DRT charity has now been supporting the local area for over 60 years.
One hundred per cent of profits from events such as the recent Beer and Cider Festival goes directly to supporting vulnerable and in-need groups, families and individuals.
