North Wales Police, the ambulance service, and the fire and rescue service have all offered their condolences to the Royal Family as the country mourns the death of the Queen. 

Yesterday (Thursday, September 9) Buckingham Palace confirmed that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had died in the afternoon following concerns from her doctors about her health. 

Following the announcement, Chief Fire Officer Dawn Docx of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II this evening.

"We join the rest of the country in mourning and extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family.

"This is desperately sad news which will be felt profoundly by the entire nation but at this difficult time we reflect on the long-lasting legacy Her Majesty leaves behind and celebrate in her extraordinary life."

North Wales Police Temporary Chief Constable Richard Debicki said: “It is with great sadness we learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

“On behalf of North Wales Police I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time and our gratitude for the lifetime of service she gave.

“She will be deeply missed not only across the United Kingdom, but across the world for her dedication and commitment to a life of service.”

As a mark of respect flags will be at half-mast at Force Headquarters and all other force buildings where there is a flag pole.

At the Welsh Ambulance Services NHT Trust, Chief Executive Jason Killens said: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“During her long and celebrated reign, Her Majesty was an exemplary monarch who gave her entire life to serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth with unwavering pride.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the entire Royal Family at this incredibly sad time.”

Chair Martin Woodford said: “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II worked tirelessly for the good of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, supporting many organisations who will mourn her greatly.

“The thoughts of everyone at the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust are with the Royal family at this difficult time.”
