THE emphasis is on fun in Wrexham this weekend, as a fundraising games day will take place across the city.
Wrexham's first GamesDay will take place on Saturday at several locations, including at Yellow and Blue (YAB), Xplore! and Ty Pawb, featuring a variety of board and video games available on the day.
If you have ever wanted to see some big tabletop games such as Warhammer 40K being played, are interested in Bolt Action, Aeronautica Imperialis, Star Wars Legion, Marvel Crisis Protocol or Subbuteo, YAB is the venue for you.
Hot off the success of being featured in the hit Netflix show, there will also be Stranger Things Dungeons and Dragons sessions throughout the day.
For younger games fans, and family-friendly, there will be Jenga, Suspend and Connect 4 to name just a few, taking place at Xplore!.
If card games or something more retro is up your street, then head to Ty Pawb.
And if you have a game you enjoy playing that you'd like to bring along, feel free, there will be tables available.

You may also spot a few famous faces, as cos-players will be attending, including Darth Vader and Pikachu.
Taking part on the day is free but any donations received will go towards the social enterprise non profit project YAB, and Andys Man Club (AMC), a men's mental health charity that meets every Monday at the venue.
Taking place on World Suicide Prevention Day, Wrexham GamesDay is the brainchild of Pete Debney, a facilitator with AMC.
He said: "After starting the Wrexham branch of Andys Man Club, I wanted to do something to raise money for our venue, and our club.
"It's all about getting people to come into town, play some games, have some fun. Any donations will be gratefully received."
Supporting the day are Wrexhammer Gaming Club, House of Retro and Dragon Retro Gaming.
The games begin at 10am and are set to run until 4pm.
