At around 8pm on Friday, police were called to say someone was breaking into a property on Davies Court. A male was seen running off carrying some property. Officers attend and the occupant refused to cooperate with officers. Inspector Hughes described the incident as 'odd'.
On Saturday morning at around 5.11am, officers attend a call from the fire service that a vehicle is on fire in Tan y Dre. Inspector Hughes said it appears deliberate however, the motive remains in question.
He added: "Maybe some background work required as to who, what and why this would happen. Vehicles don’t just set themselves on fire."
Officers assisted with the RWF parade on Saturday. Inspector Hughes said: "Proud to see the members of the regiment, past, present and future on parade and especially poignant for me to see my father marching through the city."
