A NEW visitor information centre has opened in Wrexham.
The VIC, located next to Ty Pawb on Chester Street opened its doors at the end of August and is now open to members of the public Monday to Saturday from 10am – 4pm.
The VIC will showcase everything that’s great about the city and provide useful information about upcoming events and things to see and do.
The eyes of the world have been firmly placed on Wrexham in the last couple of weeks thanks to the success of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ series, drawing in attention from all reaches of the UK and beyond.
Councillor Nigel Williams said: “The ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ docu-series is attracting a global audience, so more people are becoming aware of the place. There’s a real buzz about Wrexham at the moment – both at home and abroad.

“The VIC will be a wonderful resource for both residents and visitors, and we’ve been working really hard to get this facility open."
Cllr Williams added: “We’re still in the process of recruiting key members of the team, but other employees are stepping up and staffing the centre in the meantime, which is wonderful.
“And with events taking place every Saturday in September to help celebrate the county borough, it feels like a great time for the VIC to be opening.”
