UNPAID carers are invited to a dedicated charity's 'Wellbeing Hub' this Friday (September 9).

North East Wales Carers Information Service (NEWCIS) is one of the largest providers of carer services in Wales, delivering information, one to one support, training and counselling to carers who provide unpaid support to family or friends living in the region.

The number of unpaid carers has increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic. Do you care for a loved one? Or are you not sure if you are an unpaid carer? A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.

NEWCIS is inviting Wrexham carers to the new Wellbeing Hub at the Crown Buildings on Friday to chat with them, find out more about the service and how to get involved and get support going forward.

For more information contact NEWCIS on 01978 423114 or enquiries@newcis.org.uk

Wrexham Council commission NEWCIS to deliver a service to unpaid carers across Wrexham and is working collaboratively with NEWCIS this September to ensure as many carers as possible are reached, identified and supported. The response of the focus group will help shape the future of carer services.

One of NEWCIS’ key values is to ensure that unpaid carers are properly supported and valued within their caring role and provided with a voice.
