A NEW and 'modern style' Rotary Club is being launched in Llangollen after the previous one closed its doors after more than six decades of existence.
The new club will once again serve the town and its surrounding communities following the demise of the previous Llangollen Rotary Club, which had existed for 61 years, in June.
This new club, Vale of Llangollen, will pick up the mantel, albeit in a different style.

The group's Mike Lade said: "We will continue the previous rotary club's community work but will also recognise the villages throughout the Dee Valley that comprises the Vale of Llangollen and intend to include those villages as the 'greater community'.
"All members come from all backgrounds and ages and they will use their skills, experience and expertise to develop projects to improve the lives or environment of the local community or further afield.
"We are looking for people over 18, that includes couples, from all backgrounds and experiences to build our team of like-minded people to work together to help our communities."
The formal launch for Vale of Llangollen will take place at the Liberty Traven and Wine Bar at 7.15pm on Monday, September 12.
