WREXHAM AFC co-owner Rob McElhenney has responded to the very positive reviews that the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary has received to date.

The 16-part series premiered via Disney Plus in the UK on Thursday, August 25.

In the first two episodes, viewers were given an insight into how the takeover of the club was carried out by Rob and fellow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds.

There were also appearances from club personnel, as well as members of the community - such as Turf pub landlord, Wayne Jones, who became something of an overnight internet sensation following his appearance on the show.

And the sense of passion shown by many in episodes 1 and 2 towards the football club and its community has seen Welcome To Wrexham receive outstanding reviews to date.
