A FLINTSHIRE-based mental health charity is "overwhelmed" by the efforts of a group of men walking the entire coast of Anglesey to raise money.
The ‘Keep Twalking’ group is raising money for The Counselling Hub charity by walking the entire Anglesey coastal path in under five days from August 24.
The group's efforts have so far raised nearly £4,000 for the charity - which provides counselling, drop-in support services and the distribution of food goods to vulnerable individuals and their families directly affected by issues such as suicide, self harm and depression.
As the group embarks on day three of the walk, the Counselling Hub's founder, Paula Ringeval, expressed her gratitude for their efforts.
"The Counselling Hub charity is overwhelmed by the efforts of the group Keep Twalking," she said.
"140 miles in 5 days is not something many people can achieve and they are doing this in support of those struggling with suicide self-harm and depression management."
Paula said the charity is facing ever increasing numbers of referrals.
"As a charity we have seen a marked increase in the number of serious suicide risk referrals," she said.
"Things are worse now than during the pandemic. We imagine with the added financial pressures so many are experiencing with the cost of living crisis, it is only set to get worse.
"Every bit of support we get goes directly into helping local people. So if you feel able to help us in any way we will be very grateful. Donations that businesses make are 100 per cent tax deductible."
