A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a paragliding accident in Llangollen.
North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) said it was called to assist with the incident that occurred on Thursday.
Also attending the incident were the ambulance service, Air Ambulance and Coastguard.
A NEWSAR spokesperson said: "Earlier today we worked to rescue a paraglider near Llangollen.
"We used a rope system to stabilise the casualty before he was winched from scene by the Coastguard Helicopter and transferred to hospital.
"Thank you to the friends of the casualty who assisted with directions."
