MEMBERS of a Slimming World club in Flintshire have combined losing weight with raising money for charity.
Buckley Slimming World's Tracey Evans wanted to encourage her members to get more active, while also doing something great to raise money for a worthy cause.
As a result, group members recently completed a sponsored walk around the local area - bringing along friends, family, children and even dogs.
In total, they raised £555 for mental health charity Mind.

Tracey said: "I think over the last three years we have seen a big rise in people needing this help so I and other members thought this was such a worthy cause.
"I’m so proud of each and every one who took part. We had such an amazing day and it was so lovely to see the members supporting each other.
"We all brought along our own favourtie Slimming World recipe ranging from sausage rolls, scotch eggs to trifles and cakes, who says you can’t have a picnic eating your favourite foods!"
During August Slimming World's ‘It’s a Kind of Magic’ campaign is also helping to raise money for Cancer Research Uk.
Tracey runs her groups every Tuesday at Buckley Hawkesbury Community Centre, 8am, 10am, 5pm and 7pm. If you would like more information contact her on 07545531698.
