WITH Channel 4 having confirmed Flintshire taekwondo star Jade Jones is in the lineup for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, here's a sneak peek at what we can expect from episode one.
The 29-year-old claimed her first Olympic victory at London in 2012 - a decade ago - to the delight of Flintshire residents, and her supporters the world over, and her career has flourished ever since.
But it seems the SAS show has presented quite a different type of challenge for her.
She said: “After losing at the (Tokyo 2020) Olympics I wanted to figure myself out.
"I wanted to see just how tough I really am because I think I’m a bit of a baby when it comes to anything other than fighting.
"But I had no idea how tough it really is, they make it look easy on TV but when you’re in it, it’s brutal!”
The original SAS: Who Dares Wins sees civilians put through military training exercises to test their physical and mental strength, and the celebrity spin-off launched in 2019.
