THE fairytale journey of Wrexham AFC's Hollywood owners is set to premiere this week - after the excitement for locals initially all began with a light-hearted Tweet two years ago.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob MElhenney completed their takeover of the Racecourse outfit in early 2021.
Since then, the pair have invested their heart and soul into bringing a sense of belief back to supporters who are hoping for a return back to the English Football League.
Tomorrow (Thursday, August 25), the story of their journey to date will be told through the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary which airs on Disney+.
But, can you remember the very first Tweet which got Ryan's fans' hearts racing about a potential visit to Wrexham?

Back in October 2012, Lois Morus sent out a Tweet saying: "tidyy ;) you never know when Ryan Reynolds is going to turn up in Wrexham ;)",
Then, on September 23, 2020, with rumours rife about the takeover, Deadpool star Ryan replied: "Yep, you never know".
He followed that up, on the same day, with: "I've waited eight years to respond to this Tweet."

Now, two years on, both he and Rob have well and truly immersed themselves into both the football club and the Wrexham community.
They were at the Racecourse last weekend and posed for pictures with fans as the Reds went on to beat Maidstone United 5-0.
