A WREXHAM fan received a hero's welcome after returning home for the first time in more than 40 years.
Martin Davies, otherwise known as 'Moody Marty', has been back in Wrexham for the first time in 44 years, having moved to Canada when he was younger.
On Friday, August 19, he paid a visit to Wrexham's Racecourse ground and was given a wonderful reception as he met players and staff from the club.

Martin was welcomed to the historic ground with open arms and the club posted a few pictures of his visit to their official social media accounts.

Commenting underneath the club's post Martin said: "What a return to the Racecourse. That was a welcome I never expected. Thank you to all for being so welcoming and kind. Up the worldwide reds."
And if that wasn't enough, Martin even had the iconic Wrexham Lager singing his praises after he visited the brewery shop.
