It looks to be a busy weekend ahead for Wrexham City Police.

But Inspector Luke Hughes and his team dealt said it was a 'non-eventful day' yesterday, but despite this, still had numerous incidents to report on. 

The Inspector started his update with an appeal for a man in connection with an alleged honey theft, which occurred on August 11. For anyone with any information, Police have asked you to contact them and quote 22000586744.

The force have also continued their searches for a missing Volkswagen Golf, which was part of Wednesday's update

Before getting into Thursday's incidents, Inspector Hughes said the force have a busy weekend ahead as Wrexham AFC host Maidstone United on Saturday and Comicon returning on Sunday.

A timeline of incidents the Wrexham City team dealt with in the last 24 hours is as follows:

9.42am – Call regarding a suspicious VW parked up on Rhosnesni Lane, not the one police were looking for but it had been involved in a recent incident and it was recovered. 

10.45am – Inspector Hughes chairs a Safety Advisory Group for the upcoming “Wrexham Feast” food festival on the 24th & 25th September, he said it "sounds like a fantastic event so look it up and hopefully see you there." 

11.19am – The force were called to reports of OCG shoplifting at Plas Coch, suspected to have stolen a large number of razors for re-sale, enquiries remain ongoing to collate incidents across the north west.

11.23am – Concerns for the welfare of a local male – located safe & well.

11.29am – Lilac Way - Concerns raised regarding a suspicious incident that occurred the previous evening in that area– did you see two males, early 20`s, we have had reports that these persons may have been talking to locals and whilst they didn’t introduce themselves as police officers their appearance and manner of behaviour may have implied this.

12.35pm – Concerns for the welfare of a local male – located safe & well.

3.05pm – Regent Street - report of intoxicated male urinating in the street – arrested.

Friday:

12.50am – Vehicle fails to stop – remains outstanding.

8:00am – Reports of three premises targeted in the Overton Arcade – officers on route to establish what has happened but it seems all three have been broken into during the night. 

Inspector Hughes added: "Incidents such as this make me incredibly angry, these are local small businesses and to be targeted in this way will really cause hardship and knock the confidence of other local retailers. It is important for us to follow up these reports today, CCTV and CSI as a priority."
