A Mold PCSO cycled 190 miles to raise money for The North Wales Women’s Centre supporting women in times of need.

PCSO Rachael Duddle from Mold Police Station cycled with a group from Coleg Llandrillo, her big brother, and her dad on August 11 from London to Haywards Heath (64.8 miles) in 33-degree weather on the first day.

Day two consisted of 68.2 miles from Dieppe to Beauvais and day three saw her travel a further 57 miles from Beauvais to Paris.

The group consisted of 31 riders in total, all raising money for different charities. While the total is yet to be confirmed they estimate to have raised approximately £16,000 between them!

“My children got me through and little by little the Women’s Support Centre helped re-build our lives, they helped get me to where I am now.

“I will be forever grateful to them for their support, this is why I am doing this challenge, I want to give something back to them for all of the help they gave me. I’d also like to say a big thank you to all the NWP officers and staff who have supported and sponsored me, it really means a lot!”
