We've had city status, we've had Rob and Ryan take over at the Racecourse. But, what could be next for Wrexham?
Here's what our readers think Wrexham needs ...
Ann Duke said: "Turn eagles meadow into an entertainment and eating place and get shops back into town centre."
Deb Jenkins told us: "Look at towns that are, thriving and see what needs to be added. Mold and Stockton heath are busy attractive places."
Jane Prydderch said: "They moved the heart out of Wrexham town centre building New M&S and Debenhams ! Without main stores in the High street people will not visit. All the shopping areas are all too far apart to walk to! Elderly people are unable to get over to M&S unless they can drive , too far from bus station."
Sarah Jauncey said: "Joking apart, the town failed because no one shopped there. We have at least 3 Aldi/Lidl, 2 home bargains, primark and a thousand charity and pound shops, every major supermarket and Amazon. This is why independent shops cannot compete that’s why there are no shops - the council cannot stop this only shoppers can. Whilst you can buy stuff at reduce rate an independent shop will make no money and close."
Elen Bride added: "Some decent shops you cant call it a town centre with so many empty shops. I can remember the town centre being a bustling place such a shame to see it now."
Vera Rushton: "All the empty rooms above the shops could be converted into apartments. Wrexham was a vibrant beautiful town. Modernisation had ruined it. People living in the town will bring it back to life."
Sharon Hughes said: "Flip out, buskers, street food stalls, parking permits for residents so people have to use car parks helping footfall figures, more music events in town, glad William Aston Hall is back open but more could be made of that. Sort the roads and pavements to make it easier for people with poor mobility to use wheelchairs, scooters etc and that will help young families with prams and pushchairs too."
Sharon Darlington added: "Family orientated eating places; a departmental store, boutique clothing/ accessories, an ice rink..and we desperately need our own theatre."
Mike Tweedie told us: "More advertisement for local businesses, the whole place needs a clean up looks dirty everywhere, better lighting, more parking, more influence to our heritage, more branded stores."
Gordon Davies: "Reinstatement of the free parking zones on High street would be a start."
