POLICE are warning Wrexham businesses of counterfeit notes being used in the area.
North Wales Police has said recently there have been several instances in Wrexham of fake Scottish £50 notes being presented at shops.
A spokesperson said: "Please be wary when dealing with such notes if you undertake any cash transactions.
"New Scottish notes like Bank of England notes are polymer although paper notes are still legal tender if genuine."
