RESIDENTS across North Wales and Chester are being warned to expect "torrential downpours" throughout Monday and Tuesday.
The Met Office has put a region-wide yellow thunderstorm warning in place from 10am on Monday, with the conditions expected to last until Tuesday night.
A spokesman said: "Some counties are likely to miss the worst of these storms but where they do occur, slow-moving torrential downpours could produce 20-30 mm inside an hour, with 40-50 mm falling in around two to three hours in a few spots.
"Hail and frequent lightning could pose additional hazards for some."
