A WREXHAM-based global online sports equipment retailer recently held a charity football match in an effort to raise money for local children's hospice.
The highly anticipated Net World Sports football match took place at Welsh Premier League side, The New Saints' home ground in Oswestry on their impressive 4G pitch.
Pitting office staff against warehouse employees, the players walked out to a 'Champions League style' entrance, with blue smoke, music, and an enthusiastic crowd. After a thrilling 90-minute battle, the office team was crowned champions of the 2022 FORZA Cup, scoring two late goals to win 5-2.
Through internal fundraising in the lead-up to and during the game, Net World Sports was able to raise £500 for Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospices, which will support the charity as they continue with the life-changing work they do for terminally ill children across North Wales, Shropshire, Cheshire and Powys.

Catrin Dowdeswell from Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith said: "We are thrilled the team at Net World Sports decided to take to the pitch for local families. The creativity that comes from their staff is second to none and their support for the community is in another league. Hope House Children's Hospices are a lifeline for children with life-limiting conditions and we could not do what we do without our incredible supporters."
Alex Lovén, CEO and founder of Net World Sports added "We're delighted to be able to help raise the vital funds needed for this wonderful charity. Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospices has been our chosen charity for a number of years now and it's fantastic to be able to show our support whilst also getting the team together for some friendly competition.

"Thank you to our partners at The New Saints FC for allowing us to use their pitch and facilities for this special occasion. With the office confident in retaining their title as champions, I'm sure the warehouse staff will be eager for a comeback next year! Let the countdown begin."
With what is now set to become an annual charity event, the Net Word Sports team is already planning the 2023 football match, expected to be even bigger and better.
