TREES have been spray painted in graffiti at a Flintshire beauty spot.
It occurred at an area known locally as Rabbie woods, near Soughton Hall, in Sychdyn.
As well as the graffiti to the trees, rubbish was found strewn all over the ground.
A local resident, Kathryn Varney, visits the area every morning and was shocked by what she found.
She said: "When I was little the wood was full of bluebells, like a blue carpet. Over the years kids have come and dug it up to make bike ramps - which is fine as they need somewhere to go to with mates and burn off energy.
"But seeing the trees covered in graffiti and plastic bottles and rubbish all over the place made me angry and actually very upset."

After posting about it on a local social media group, people expressed their disgust at the "sad" incident.
One person said: "Just no respect for anything, thankfully not all, just a few."
Another added: "What a terrible thing to do."
