FIRE crews are tackling a large house fire in a Cheshire village.
At least seven fire engines have been deployed to the incident at Love Lane, Malpas.
Love Lane is being closed as firefighters tackle the blaze.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, which was called out to the fire at 12.26pm, said: "Firefighters are tackling a house fire at a property on Love Lane.
"Part of the roof space of the detached property is heavily involved in fire. Crews in breathing apparatus are using two hose reel jets and covering jets to tackle the blaze.
"Electricity supplies have been isolated. The fire is currently being tackled from outside the building."
Fire engines from Chester (plus the aerial ladder platform), Audlem, Nantwich, two from Crewe and one from Whitchurch (Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service) have been deployed to the scene.
Fire crews have divided the blaze into three sectors and are using six breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets.
A portable pump has been set up to pump water from the house's swimming pool to assist with the firefighting.
