Coedpoeth United Junior FC has benefitted from funding from The High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Youth Fund which has renovated facilities for the team.
Police from the NWP Wrexham Rural team confirmed on social media that The High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Youth Fund has helped the club to renovate an old container unit that they are using as changing room/toilets/meeting facilities.
The post read: “Working with professional graffiti artist, Andy Birch (also known as Dime One) and Minera Community Council local young people have helped to transform the container unit into a much more attractive space for the club to use – what a transformation!
“As part of this work, a local youth club will be set up with support from Wrexham Youth Service and will give PCSOs the opportunity to engage with local young people. PCSO Lydia Edwards is also doing some work with Coedpoeth Utd. FC to help set up a ladies team too!
“What a great way for young people to get involved with helping their community!”
