A WREXHAM police inspector has slammed acts of "mindless vandalism" after arson incidents.
North Wales Police is investigating two acts of suspected arson which occurred in the Chirk area in recent days involving a public bench and grassland.
Wrexham Rural Policing Team's Inspector, Gavin Gilmore, said: "These acts are what I would class as anti-social behaviour and mindless vandalism.
"I am particularly disappointed that members of the local community have chosen to destroy property placed in the community by local community groups/councillors for the community to enjoy.
"My officer is currently appealing for witnesses in the hope to identify the suspect/s to ensure they can be dealt with accordingly."
