A MUCH-LOVED 60's American R&B singer is set to bid a final farewell to fans at this year's North Wales Blues and Soul Festival.
An inspirational figure in the music industry, Geno Washington - the Dexy's Midnight Runners party classic Geno is a tribute to him - tops the bill with his The Ram Jam Band at the festival, which takes place at Theatr Clwyd in Mold over the weekend of August 5-7.
Recreating music from two of the biggest selling UK albums of the 60s, Geno Washington plans to wow crowds with tracks such as Change Your Thoughts You Change Your Life and Live Sideways, with a headline performance as part of his final UK tour.
The festival, now in its ninth year, features three days of music from more than 20 revered UK and international artists and bands, including The Cinelli Brothers, The Achievers, Bella Collins, Seafoam Green and the Five Points Gang.
