A FLINTSHIRE-based business has smashed its charity target, raising almost £10,500 for the British Heart Foundation in just six months.
From the Manchester marathon to a month-long 'dechox' to a quiz night, employees of P&A Group, based in Mold, across different divisions and sites, have put their heart and soul into raising money for the cause.
Chosen by employees as the company's charity of the year for 2022, the British Heart Foundation helps and supports 340,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Wales.
Steve Morgan, managing director of the P&A Group said: "I'm thrilled we've already beaten the £10,000 target but everyone is determined to keep raising funds for the British Heart Foundation. There's still lots of events left like the Clwydian Three Peaks challenge this month, Tough Mudder, an exercise bike challenge and the Flintshire 5k/10k in October, to name but a few."
During the first six months of 2022, employees at the P&A Group put their best foot forward when it came to raising money. In April, a group of 18 dedicated and determined employees joined by international suppliers tackled the Manchester Marathon, raising nearly £6,500 in the process.

Combined, the amount raised for the British Heart Foundation from January to the end of June this year is a target-smashing £10,469.
Over the last 12 years, employees of the P&A Group have raised in excess of £120,000 for a variety of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospices, Cancer Research UK, Action for Children, Alzheimer's Society, Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Meningitis Now.
• The P&A Group comprises Zest, a supplier of timber garden products, The Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold, P&A Pallets and Packaging, and St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices.
