TEMPERATURES in North Wales soared to unprecedented heights today (Monday, July 18) as the heatwave well and truly struck the UK.
The region has been basking in scorching heat all day, with temperatures of more than 30C in all parts of the region.
Hawarden in Flintshire has been leading the way having broke the record for the highest temperature ever in Wales (37.1°C).
Llay in Wrexham was not far behind as it hit max temperatures of 36°C, as did parts of Chirk, Llangollen, Rossett and Wrexham itself.

The Met Office is now warning that temperatures tomorrow (Tuesday, July 19) will be even hotter.
Experts are also predicting an 'uncomfortable' night of sleep ahead as the warmth remains throughout the night.
