PUPILS at a Flintshire primary school have raised £772 for Ukrainian charities.

Ewloe Green Primary School have held their annual ‘Entrepreneurial Club’ which enables pupils to create a business that will make a profit for a school project.

Recent years have seen pupils sell eggs from the school’s chickens as well as making coasters from pallets, but this year the children voted on a ‘treat’ for each year group.

The Leader:

When voting on the school project to raise money for, the Entrepreneurial Club said they wanted to raise money to help the efforts in Ukraine and have so far raised £722.

Assistant Headteacher, James Griffiths said: “We recently had a young refugee in the class, and he has quickly become a popular member of the school. His friends in the club wanted to show their support.”

“It has been so humbling to see the pupils act so selflessly, they work extremely hard and are just so happy to be doing something to help.”
