A NUMBER of motorists had their offences dealt with at magistrates courts last week.

On Friday Mold Magistrates Court sentenced three such cases.

Mirza Ali, aged 24 and of Alexandra Road in Wrexham
Offences: Drive a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road / in a public place without due care and attention, use a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance
Outcome: Guilty pleas to both. £110 costs, £175 fine x 2, £35 victim surcharge. Licence endorsed with seven penalty points.

Specialist Chauffeur Services Ltd, of Rossett Business Village, Burton
Offence: Fail to give information relating to the identification of the driver /  rider of a vehicle when required
Outcome: Found guilty (proved in absence). £1,000 fine, £110 costs, £100 victim surcharge 

Leighton Downward, aged 19 and of Churton Drive in Wrexham
Offences: Fail to report road accident, drive without due care and attention, drive otherwise than in accordance with a licence, drive without insurance, fail to stop after road accident and use a motor vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate.
Outcome: Guilty pleas to all. £110 costs, £120 fine x2. Driving record endorsed with six points.

And on Thursday, Peterlee Magistrates' Court handled the case of 28-year-old Karl Mike Fundup Talom, of Smithy Lane in Wrexham.
Offence: Speeding - exceed 30 mph on restricted road (committed at Crook in the county of Durham.)
Outcome: Guilty plea. Fined £800 and ordered to pay £110 costs and an £80 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with six points.
