A 78-YEAR-OLD man from Flintshire has completed a staggering 900-mile bike ride to raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
Jim Jones, from Northop Village took on the challenge alongside his son, Martin, 53 from Marford and grandson, Alfie, 16 from Buckley.
The three generations of the family cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats accompanied by their support driver, Chris Roden.
Jim, who turns 79 in December, decided to take on the challenge in aid of the Wales Air Ambulance charity which requires over £8million a year to keep its helicopters in the sky.
Their gruelling challenge took 10 days to complete, beginning on July 1 and they were welcomed back to Jim's village in Northop Hall by proud family, friends, and neighbours on July 12.

So far, over £4000 has been raised for the cause and Jim couldn’t hide his joy. “I’m feeling good after completing the ride, taking a few days off from the bike. I’m so grateful to everyone who has donated and helped out along the way and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.”
