CHILDREN in their final year of study at a Flintshire primary school have taken on their very own seven peaks challenge in order to give back to the school.
So far, the Ysgol Y Llan Whitford kids have raised £500 for the Holywell-based school which has been a part of their lives for over six years.
All of the year six pupils have been involved in at least one of the walks that were covered during the challenge.

Their epic challenge has seen them tackle Halkyn Mountain, Horseshoe Pass, the Great Orme, Bryn Euryn, Moel Arthur, Moel Famau and Snowdon.
On Saturday, July 9, seven pupils; Harry Thomas, William Temple, Annie Phillips, Cian Jones, Thomas Venning and Finley Runiewicz completed the final leg by walking up Snowdon.
A statement on the fundraising page from Jenny Thomas read: "We feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of such a caring and supporting community at Ysgol y Llan and wanted to say goodbye and thank you in our own special way.
"The school has been the most incredibly nurturing and caring environment and the children have thrived there. The staff are second to none and we want to show our immense gratitude and love for them all."
