A 70-year-old Wrexham man is starting a six-year jail term after he admitted a series of child sex offences.
William Carter, of Ffordd Estyn in Wrexham, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday for sentencing.
He had previously admitted eight counts of sexually touching a child.
Henry Hills, defending, said: “He understands his behaviour has caused significant harm to the victim.”
Judge Rhys Rowlands said he’d behaved repeatedly in an “appalling and totally perverted” way.
He told Carter he had little insight into the harm he’d caused. The abuse had a “profound” effect.
A sexual harm prevention order was made and he must register as a sex offender.
