A MAN has raised over £2,500 by undergoing a charity head shave to raise funds for a Wrexham cancer unit.
Pete Snowdon, manager of the Hafod Hotel in Mold completed the head shave to raise money for the Shooting Stars cancer unit at Wrexham Mealor Hospital.
Pete said: “Unfortunately my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and I wanted to do something to raise some money for a local cause and show solidarity with him.
"I had a dream that I could raise maybe a couple of hundred pounds, but I’m absolutely overwhelmed at the response to be able to raise over £2,500.
"The money will go towards the Shooting Starts cancer unit in Wrexham, to help continue the fantastic work that they do.”

Pete wanted to express his thanks to staff and customers at the Hafod Hotel, all of his friends and a special someone in particular.
“Id like to say a big thanks also to my mum, Shirley Snowdon who runs the Shirley School of Dance, and has been there from 16 and she’s now 80. They donated the raffle money from one of their shows. I’d like to say a big thanks to them.”
